We believe that investing our time this way is an investment in you and your optimal oral health.

One area where we have seen a lot of progress is laser dentistry. Dental lasers work like any other laser – they use a focused beam of light that’s directed at the area in your mouth to be treated.

Laser Uses in Dentistry

Our soft laser is versatile, and one area where it is especially beneficial is in treating gum disease. After a deep periodontal cleaning, the laser can be used to remove infected material from pockets around your teeth comfortably.

Another procedure is typically used for kids and is called a frenectomy to resolve a problem known as a “tongue-tie.” Dental lasers can also be used to remove herpetic sores and relieve the pain of canker sores. We can even use lasers for gum contouring, an esthetic procedure that removes excess gum tissue to make your teeth appear longer.

Non-Invasive Dentistry in East Tucson

Laser dentistry is non-invasive, so it improves the comfort of many dental procedures. But there are also many other benefits:

  • No shots – Nobody likes the idea of injections, especially for their children. Fortunately, treatment with dental lasers is so gentle and comfortable that no drilling or anesthesia is necessary in many cases.
  • Fast treatment – Since there’s no invasive treatment needed, laser dentistry minimizes post-treatment bleeding and speeds recovery times. And since dental lasers are so efficient, it’s possible to perform multiple procedures during a single appointment.
  • More accurate – Laser dentistry gives us the control to target specific areas and offer a conservative solution to treat cavities. Dental lasers are so precise that it’s possible to remove only the decayed portion of a tooth and preserve the integrity and structure of your tooth.
  • Promotes faster healing – Non-invasive treatments involve minimal bleeding, speedier recovery, and improved long-term outcomes.

Is Laser Dentistry Right for You?
