Your First Visit
At Sabino Hills Family Dentistry, we love welcoming new patients! Our goal is for you to have the most pleasant and stress-free experience possible
Welcoming You to Our Office
When you arrive at our office, you will be greeted warmly by a member of our front office team who will give you your welcome gift and offer you coffee during your brief wait. When it's time for your appointment, we will provide you with a tour of our office so you can become familiar with our practice and all the wonderful technology and amenities we offer for your comfort.
We ask that you let us know about your insurance coverage before you begin your appointment so we can have all benefit information ready by the end of your visit.
Treatment begins with an exam that includes taking x-rays as necessary; if you have current x-rays, we ask that you bring them with you. Dr. Allen will complete a comprehensive exam but not before sitting with you for a few minutes and getting to know you. Our goal is to treat you like family, so we will chat with you about your hobbies and things that interest you.
We also use intraoral cameras so you can see problems for yourself and understand the reason for treatment. The resulting images exam will be displayed on a TV screen in front of your chair so we can review them together.
Any treatment that was recommended during your appointment with Dr. Allen will be reiterated before you check out and Quality Dental Plan discounts will be applied. Payment is expected at the time of service and will be collected before rendering any treatment. If you need to be seen by a specialist for oral surgery or a root canal, the front office staff will call the specialist immediately and schedule an appointment for the patient.
Finally, any necessary follow-up appointments will be scheduled. The hygienists have access to their schedule six months in advance, so it makes scheduling all re-care visits easier and more convenient for patients.
Before you leave, we will give you a “goodie” bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.
We ask that you call us 48 hours in advance if you are planning to make any changes to your appointments.
